Dear Parents,

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our wonderful school. At GEMS FirstPoint School, we are passionate about enabling each student to achieve their potential and find personal success, whatever their passions and ambitions. We facilitate academic success for all, in an inclusive environment that provides sufficient and expert challenge at every stage of the education journey. 

Alongside our academic ambitions for all learners, we also recognise that for students to receive the very best from their education, a holistic approach is required. To that end, we provide outstanding opportunities in sport, music, the arts, design, technology, and in our Centre of Excellence for Digital Futures. Our extra-curricular provision is vast, complementing the more traditional elements of education, and allows all students to flourish, whatever their passion.

On a personal note, I am in an unusual position in that I can confirm all of the above not only as the proud Principal of the school, but also as a FirstPoint parent. When we first moved to the UAE, my wife and I chose FirstPoint out of all other GEMS schools as the right one for our son. We knew the school’s genuine family and community feel would allow him to flourish, despite being new to Dubai. Three years later, when the opportunity arose to lead this fantastic school through the exciting next phase of its impressive development, I was delighted to accept. 

Our school’s key strengths, and what sets it apart from others and allows it to achieve superb outcomes for learners, lie in the intangible elements I have referred to above. That’s why I strongly encourage all prospective students, parents and colleagues to visit the school, so they can experience FirstPoint’s community feel and ethos for themselves.
