The Prep Department age 7-11
The Pre-Prep department is for children aged between 5 and 7 years old. It offers a broad, structured curriculum, which aims to develop each child's potential emotionally, physically and academically.
The younger children in Key Stage 2 are taught by class teachers who take them for most of their lessons.
As they move up through the school they are taught increasingly by subject specialists.
Pupils in Year 6 are thoroughly prepared for senior school entrance exams to independent schools, and for national tests and assessments for state schools.
Sherborne House pupils go on to a wide range of schools, and we have an excellent exam and scholarship record. A large proportion of our pupils go on to King Edward VI in Southampton, and other popular destinations include St Swithun’s in Winchester, The Gregg School in Southampton, Thornden School in Chandler’s Ford, and Kings’ School in Winchester.
