Education and Learning

Our approach to education and learning is designed to develop our pupils’ all-round potential and a love of learning. They enjoy a rich variety of learning experiences designed to develop each child's unique talents.

The school has three stages – Early Years or Foundation; Pre-Prep; and Prep.

Sherborne House belongs to the GEMS family of international schools and encourages pupils to live by the GEMS four core values of:

Our broad and stimulating curriculum enables children of all abilities to have a challenging and personalised approach to education. 

We are always looking for ways to extend our work beyond the school gates and to promote good relationships with local groups and associations.

As well as taking pupils out into the wider community, we encourage a range of individuals and organisations to visit to the school. They include representatives from other religious groups and cultures, and from a wide variety of charities for whom the pupils enjoy raising contributions. Parents too, are encouraged to come into the school to share their expertise and knowledge.
