Welcome to Sherborne House School. The staff and I are delighted that you are considering entrusting us with your child’s education. We believe that the strengths of our school lie in its firm commitment to viewing each child as an individual, to discovering their unique talents and interests and to building their self-esteem, so that school is a happy, positive and enjoyable experience. Working in partnership with you, Sherborne House aims to build self-confidence and give your child the necessary skills to realise his or her full potential both now, and in later life.

I have enjoyed a long and very happy relationship with Sherborne House, firstly as a parent when my elder daughter joined the Nursery Department in September 1989, and very shortly after as a teacher, when I became a member of staff in November 1989. I continued to combine both roles for many years with my second daughter joining the Sherborne House Nursery in 1996. I have since taught a wide variety of both subjects and years throughout the Prep School, being a Form Tutor for Years 4, 5 and 6. In 2003, I became the Director of Studies, with responsibility for curriculum development and assessment and Phase Leader for Years 5 and 6, taking up a position within the Senior Management Team. This role afforded me the opportunity to work closely with children, parents and staff, to develop contacts with local Senior Schools and outside agencies, and to deputise for the previous Headmistress. I am now pleased to use this experience and knowledge in my role as Head of Sherborne House School, a position which I have held since 2007.
