Mr Bensusan began teaching in Green Lane Primary School, Surrey in 2001, where he taught in Years 3 and 2 and was the school’s P.E. Coordinator. He taught at Green Lane for 3 Years. Mr. Bensusan joined JPS in 2004 and has taught in Years 1,2 and 3. |

Ms McBrearty’s journey to become a primary teacher began in Marino Institute of Education in Dublin, where she studied for three years. Having completed her teacher training, she then took up a position at a Primary School in Dublin, where she would stay for the following four years. Throughout her first year’s teaching, Ms Mc Brearty attended Trinity College, Dublin where she furthered her education studies and professional development in order to gain an Honours Degree in Bachelor of Education. In the four years Ms McBrearty has spent in her school in Dublin, she has gained experience as a Language Support Teacher, a Learning Support Teacher in English and Maths, and a Mainstream Class Teacher in Year 2 and Year 3. She is very passionate about teaching and learning and believes that the promotion of self-esteem in every child is essential in order for them to achieve at their fullest potential academically, socially and emotionally. Ms Mc Brearty also worked as part of the school’s Math’s team, and assisted with the school’s Music group. She trained for the charity Rainbows where she facilitated a peer support group for children who have suffered a loss either through death, divorce or separation. Ms McBrearty is passionate about traveling and experiencing new cultures. She states her most valuable life experience to date was when she spent two months volunteering, lecturing, and teaching in Uganda, Africa. She loves playing basketball and music for fun, and enjoys running to keep fit. |

Mrs Jackson began her teaching career in Bedfordshire, England where she taught for 4 years in Year 5 and 6. She then moved to Bangkok, Thailand where she taught in Year 5 for 2 years. Mrs Jackson is now very much looking forward to a new teaching experience in Dubai, and is excited about joining the Year 3 team. |

After gaining her teaching qualification, Helen worked at The Hall School in Leicester where she taught a Year 1 class. She moved to Dubai and has enjoyed the last two years teaching year 1 children with English as an additional language. Helen is an energetic person who likes to keep fit through dance and yoga. She is also passionate about The Arts and enjoys enriching her life through travel. |

Since qualifying in 2000, Mrs Nicholson has worked in a variety of age groups in Key stages one and two, both in the UK and internationally. In 2003, she joined Jebel Ali Primary School where she was a year 2 classteacher and KS1 science co-ordinator. Mrs Nicholson returns to Dubai after two years in Pattaya, Thailand and joined the Year 2 team in 2010. |

Mr Semakula spent 5 years teaching in Uganda, before he moved to the UK where he spent a further five years teaching. He then returned to Uganda where he taught for two years in Rainbow International School. Mr Semakula joined JPS in 2006. |
Ms Hilary Sinclair Year Four Teacher

Miss Sinclair qualified as a teacher in 2004. She taught at Manor Hall Primary School for 5 years then Eastbrook Primary School, near Brighton where she worked in years 4, 5 and 6. She is currently in her 8th year of teaching and has led several subjects including being Physical Education co-ordinator and subject leader. Miss Sinclair has mentored student teachers and NQT’s. She is trained as a Middle Level Leader. Miss Sinclair has twice been British champion and represented her country in the World Championships in the martial art of Tae Kwon-do. |

After University, Mr. Powell began teaching in Barry, South Wales in 2009, where he enjoyed teaching for two years. He taught in Year Four and Year Six during this time, where he was also the schools PE and ICT coordinator. His subject specialism is ICT and he enjoys all sports, particularly football. Mr. Powell is delighted to be joining JPS in September 2012. |

My name is Sarah Deville and I am in my seventh year of teaching. I have taught previously in a primary school in the City of Wolverhampton, England. During this time I have taught in various Year Groups across the school. I have a keen interest in sport and have played netball and tennis to a County level. I am excited to be joining the Year 4 team at JPS and am looking forward to the term ahead. |

Miss Ireland began teaching in an East London Primary school in 2009, where she has had experience teaching Years 1 and 3. Miss Ireland has had a lot of experience working with children with challenging behaviour needs and a wide range of linguistic abilities too. Miss Ireland has been the PE co-coordinator of the school for two years and has a real passion for sports, especially gymnastics, athletics and swimming. She is a fully trained Primary Gymnastics Coach and runs a weekly gymnastics club at her school. Miss Ireland has helped organize events such as the EAZ Olympics; she was the lead teacher for the Primary 2012 Olympic Ambassadors and enabled children to attend sporting events, such as the Schools Sports Championships. |
