 Hi I am Michelle Maddick, one quarter of the GWPS Physical Education Team. Previously I taught in England for five years after graduating from Sheffield Hallam University in 2005.

I am passionate about teaching and believe in creating an atmosphere that challenges students to achieve personal success whilst enjoying themselves. My aim is to raise students' academic and sporting achievements while contributing to their personal development.

Extra-curricular activities are a large part of the curriculum and provide many benefits. I believe that the sense of belonging, associated with being part of a team or club, can boost young learner’s self-esteem, confidence and leadership skills, as well as their respect for others. All of these skills contribute to students’ ability to learn across all curriculum areas, as well as preparing them for the future, ensuring they become well rounded members of the community.
