Key Stage 1 TeachersGayle Lane My name is Gayle Lane and I am Head of Key Stage 1. I have been teaching for over 13 years and my expertise lies predominately within Key Stage 1. I graduated from Paisley University in 1996 with a B.Ed. Honours degree in Primary Education. After graduating I moved to London and taught in an inner city school for over 2 years. I then moved to Spain where I was a classroom teacher and then became Head of Key Stage 1 for 5 years. After the birth of my son we returned to England where I taught, part time for 2 years and was involved in creating and facilitating Parental Engagement and Family learning within a variety of schools. We decided to move to Dubai to coincide with my son starting school 3 years ago and I thoroughly enjoy living and working in Dubai.
At GWPS we aim to provide children with a safe and secure learning environment where they are encouraged to reach their full potential. We strive to ensure that the child’s voice is the centre of all learning and that their input is valued in everything we do. In our teaching we ensure that learning is paramount and that individual strengths, skills and styles of learning are met, challenged and developed. We are very proud of the progress our children have made and are thoroughly enjoyed our ever evolving Creative Curriculum.
