Foundation StageBibi Khan
Hello my name is Bibi Rehana Khan and this is my second year at GEMS Wellington Primary School. Overall I have been teaching for 10 years now! I was educated in Guyana, Nigeria and Canada. I have obtained a Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto, a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree in Early Childhood Education from Ryerson University and an Ontario (Canada) Teacher’s Certificate in Primary/Junior Education.
Prior to moving to GWPS I taught at the Canadian International Baccalaureate World School in Singapore for eight years. This was followed by a year at Raha International School in Abu Dhabi as a Kindergarten Teacher. At Raha, I had the privilege to set up the first Kindergarten classroom and worked closely with my colleagues to prepare Raha for candidacy as an International Baccalaureate World School, Primary Years Programme.
As an internationally minded Teacher and Learner, my vision of education is to nurture and encourage children to be life-long learners and responsible members of the community they live in. My international experiences have taught me adaptability, to strive for the best and to promote an inquisitive and inspiring learning environment for all children. I believe young children flourish in a caring environment that embraces sensorial awareness and spontaneity.
